Space Allocation!

The dimensions of the porch gallery:

South Wall (back) 15'-10"
East and West 17'-5"
North Wall approx. 7'-6"
Door Way width, approx. 7'-11"

Things to think about as you request space:

Please tell me as much as you can about your project, when you can.
Will it be mounted on the wall?
Will you need pedestals?
Does anything hang (200lb, dead weight max.)
Performance... where and when?
Video... monitors or projection?
Sculpture? How much space do you want to have around your object?
How do you imagine you piece will interact with other objects around it?

And finally, your preference(s) for location. Think of at least two options.

I need these email dresses as well:
Mark
Sean C
Lane
Holly

Hope you all had a great spring break!

Thank you!

I am building a usable plastic badminton set and picnic basket. Depending on space, I can either set it up in the room to be used all week or display it on the wall during the week and make it available for use in the hall for open house. I am fine with either option. If I display it on the wall, I will be hanging four plastic rackets, a few balls and a net. They will be very light. I will probably need a three foot wide section of the wall, floor to ceiling and a few feet of space in front of the wall to display the basket on a pedestal or the floor.

I have a circular stained glass piece that will be hanging on the wall. Its probably about 2 feet in diameter at most. I have my own tools and nails/what not to hang it.

Someone mentioned hanging it from the ceiling, but I really DO NOT trust myself or my glass work to do that, so the wall should work just fine.

I had a wonderful relaxing spring break, hope yours was great as well.

Thanks, Cassie. Also, good news: we have the project space (the little room attached to the classroom) for the whole week as well!

In terms of themes, the work people discussed yesterday is perhaps a little more cerebral than carnival. There need not be a dominant 'theme' just a name, really. Then the artists who are making the flier and the tit;e stencil can begin.

Government sanctioned ultra-porn 2020. Put that somewhere on the flier/poster. My email is: funkin4fun@gmail.com

I need about 3 or 4 feet of wall space, and I'm happy with where ever. I'd like to be either on the space across from the doorway or the space just to the left of the doorway, but I'm also considering hanging my piece in the hallway somewhere. I'm fine with last minute space choices if that's cool with everyone else.

For my video I will need a pedestal to hold the monitor I will be playing my video on. Thanks dude!
